Margaret M. Doskocz, Manager of Information Systems 716-853-3801 x323 Margaret began work at KSLN in 2001. She manages all of the firm's information technology, including hardware, software and networking. Margaret provides individual training to attorneys and staff on various applications, and generally troubleshoots day-to-day computer problems. She also serves as legal assistant to Patrick Kenney, KSLN's managing partner and to James Nowak, Senior partner and head of the firm's Toxic Tort Department. Prior to joining KSLN, Margaret was the Office Manager for another area law firm. She has more than 25 years of experience in the legal community. Margaret received her A.A.S. degree from Erie Community College. She supports local area organizations as a volunteer, including Hospice Buffalo and the Ride for Roswell.
Paralegals
Diana L. Jacobson, Paralegal Litigation 716-853-3801 x320 Diana began work at KSLN in 2002, and assists with the defense of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, and construction site accidents. She participates in all aspects of case management, including pre-trial discovery, drafting motions, investigation, gathering and evaluating medical/no-fault/WCB/SSA/disability/employment records, expert retention and trial preparation. Diana received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, and her ABA Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University. She participated in internships with the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office and the Ann Arbor Landlord/Tenant's Union. Diana has 25 years of experience through her involvement in various aspects of defense litigation at large and small firms in Detroit, Syracuse and Buffalo. Additionally, she gained experience in insurance defense while employed at Medicare in the Medicare Secondary Unit that evaluated claims for no-fault, workers' compensation or other trauma related insurance. Diana has served on the Board and on varioius committees of the Amherst Hockey Association and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo. She is a member of the Western New York Paralegal Association.
Delwyn P. Milander, Paralegal Family Law, Wills, Estates, Collections, Real Estate 716-853-3801 x359 Del received a B.A. in History from Nebraska Wesleyan University, an M.Div from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, and an Associate B.A. in Paralegal Studies from Erie Community College. He has worked as a paralegal for Shari Jo Reich since 1992, and is well-versed in collections and real estate. He interfaces with the firm's clients, obtains intake information, drafts pleadings and collects data in preparation for real estate closing proceedings and other legal matters. Del is a member of the Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus.
Tammy Pilger, Paralegal Defense Litigation 716-853-3801 x325 Tammy has been a Paralegal with KSLN since 2000, where she focuses her work in the area of civil defense litigation. She received her B.S. degree in Paralegal Studies from Hilbert College in Hamburg, New York, and assists attorneys in drafting pleadings and motions, analyzing medical, Worker's Compensation and employment records, conducting research, obtaining and interviewing expert witnesses, interfacing with clients and preparing matters for trial.
Kim M. Stotz, Paralegal Defense Litigation 716-853-3801, x336 Kim received her paralegal certification from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997. She has worked as a paralegal at Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak since 2005. Prior to joining KSLN she worked as a paralegal at another Buffalo law firm. Kim devotes the majority of her time to assisting in the defense of personal injury claims, including obtaining and reviewing relevant records, drafting pleadings, contacting witnesses, locating appropriate experts, and all aspects of trial preparation.
