Buffalo, NY — Judith Treger Shelton has been inducted into the prestigious Litigation Council of America (LCA), an invitation-only trial lawyer society dedicated to the advancement of excellence in American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar. Judi is one of a highly select group of 2011 Fellows of the LCA, whose total membership is limited to 3,500 — less than one-half of one percent of North American lawyers.

Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. The LCA is aggressively diverse in its composition. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership. The number of Fellowships has been kept at an exclusive limit by design, allowing qualifications, diversity and inclusion to align effectively, with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its Fellows.

A founding partner of KSLN, Ms. Shelton manages the firm’s insurance coverage litigation practice. Judi is also the recipient of an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer Review Rating, is included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers, and has been designated as a New York Super Lawyer annually since 2008.

“We are thrilled to see our long-time business partner and friend receive this honor. During her 27 years of practice, Judi has maintained an impeccable record of results on behalf of her clients and has earned their trust and loyalty. Her strength of character, superior intellect and unwavering commitment to client care make her an ideal member of the LCA,” noted KSLN partner Pat Kenney.
