Maury is the proud father of two grown children. His son is an M.D. and his daughter is an advertising executive. He is a car aficionado and he enjoys attending sports car racing events in the summer. He and his wife, Paulette, reside in East Amherst, NY.

EXPERIENCE

Mr. Sykes has been practicing law for over 34 years and has personally litigated and tried numerous complex cases throughout the State of New York. He has successfully tried cases involving motor vehicle negligence, products liability, premises liability, municipal liability, amusement park accidents, construction accidents, electrical accidents, medical malpractice, mold, and insurance agents errors and omissions. Maury has assisted in teaching trial technique to law students, acted as a judge in mock trial tournaments, and has lectured on legal malpractice.

Prior to joining Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak, Maury was a senior trial partner at the law firm of Lustig & Brown, LLP. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Erie County. He focuses on self-insured and insurance defense litigation at Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak.
