Kristen is a native of Buffalo, New York with a love for this community and all it has to offer. After completing her undergraduate degree in communications from the State University of New York at Brockport, she worked as a student activities coordinator at SUNY Erie Community College.
She later attended law school at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Missouri. While pursuing her law degree, she simultaneously studied media and was an assistant teacher for undergraduate courses in the Missouri School of Journalism. Her topics of interest were cross cultural communication, digital multimedia, and media law. She also worked for the general counsel of the statewide University system, focusing on litigation surrounding traumatic brain injury safety standards in college football.
Kristen returned to Western New York after graduating and has had experience in personal injury as a plaintiff’s attorney before becoming interested in insurance defense.
Kristen currently serves on the board of directors for both the William-Emslie Family YMCA and the Afro-American Historical Association of the Niagara Frontier.
