Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak LLP’s growth was the subject of a recent feature in Buffalo Business First.

Reporter Katie Anderson covered the return of Tom Cunningham to our firm. Cunningham brings decades of experience and a successful mediation practice to KSLN.

Cunningham was a KSLN attorney earlier in his career and was later a founding partner at another Buffalo-based firm. He retired from that firm in 2023, but then began a successful mediation practice focused on commercial litigation and personal injury. He was drawn to the opportunity to grow his practice at KSLN.

“I knew they had a really great culture, and they’ve been adding practice areas and growing across the state,” Cunningham told Business First.

KSLN has long been known for its experience and success in handling insurance defense and insurance coverage cases. As shared by Business First, KSLN continues to grow through the addition of experienced attorneys in other practice areas spanning the needs of businesses, individuals and governmental entities.

“We’re looking to grow strategically, not just randomly with attorneys, but with attorneys that have an expertise in an area that makes sense for us,” KSLN managing partner James Nowak told Business First.

The recognition of KSLN’s growth comes during a period when we were also recognized as the top local law firm on Business First's list of largest women-owned WNY businesses.
