Brent has been a partner at KSLN since 2020 and is currently part of the management team. He is an experienced trial attorney, having participated in numerous jury trials since being admitted to the bar. His primary focus is in the Retail and Hospitality sector, where he serves as outside litigation counsel for one of the largest privately held real estate companies in the country. This company manages over 1,000 premier properties nationwide, totaling more than 55 million square feet of space. Brent employs a unique approach for his clients, most of whom are self-insured; he explores all potential avenues for risk transfer while considering the practical realities of the current litigation costs and manages cases from inception through trial and appeal, if necessary.
In addition to his work in retail and hospitality, Brent is outside litigation counsel for one of the region’s largest car washing, detailing, lubrication, and convenience store chains. He also focuses on the defense of New York State scaffold law cases and products liability cases. His products liability practice includes representation of international tool manufacturers, fireworks manufacturers, and producers of health and wellness products. He also serves as lead panel counsel for many of KSLN’s insurance clients and has extensive experience in the defense of UM/SUM litigation.
Outside of work, Brent is a proud father of twins and a passionate Buffalo Bills fan who already has his season tickets for the new stadium.
