
James (Jim) Nowak is a Founding Partner and currently serves as a Managing Partner. He specializes in Business Services, Commercial Litigation and Toxic Tort Litigation.
In the areas of Business and Commercial law, Jim represents and counsels both national and local clients, including property management companies, construction companies, real estate developers, manufacturers, retailers, communications companies, and various other business entities. His work encompasses business formation, corporate governance, acquisitions and mergers, strategic planning, succession planning, risk management, contract disputes and negotiations, intellectual property, and business-related litigation.
Jim’s Toxic Tort practice focuses on the defense of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, suppliers, and premises owners involved in lawsuits related to asbestos, mold, chemical, landfill, and welding rod exposures. He has more than three decades worth of toxic tort litigation experience and has served as local, Regional and National Coordinating Counsel in both State and Federal matters, from pre-suit investigations, lawsuit inception, discovery, trial, and appeal, if necessary. Jim’s education in both Law and Electrical Engineering make him uniquely qualified to handle litigation involving complex technical issues.
A travel and wine enthusiast, Jim’s “last meal” would be “steak and a great bottle of wine, with my family.” He shares his birthday with his favorite musician, Bruce Springsteen.
